Where to find maternity clothes you will love

My initial Covid plan was to forego maternity clothes, thinking I could make-do with old baggy clothes and my husband’s clothes. Thank the heavenzzzzz I caved because day-to-day instantly became so much more comfortable and the previously baggy clothes were FAR from baggy by the time I got to the halfway mark. Here’s where I found my fav maternity pieces:

  • Asos Maternity was number 1 for options, but took awhile to arrive (over a month). This could have been because of Covid though. I ended up getting a few cotton flowy dresses from there which were ++ comfy and great postpartum.

  • H&M maternity delivered really fast and I loved my overalls from there. I wasn’t a huge fan of the other jeans I got from there, but it could have been a sizing issue.

  • I got a few oversize sweaters from Aritzia that I love and continue to wear postpartum. Otherwise, I didn’t pull the trigger here because it was hard to tell if the items I liked would work for maternity without being able to try them on (thanks Covid).

  • Bought Lululemon align pants a size up which worked up until 8 months. By that point ANY pressure on my belly was no bueno so the tights had to go until postpartum.

  • Zara used to have a great maternity section (I noticed during my first pregnancy), but it was gone in Canada by the time I got to my second pregnancy. Maybe it will come back though?

  • I also loved my pyjama pants from Thyme Maternity (and continue to love them - there’s something still really nice about the gentle hug from these high waisted pants).
